  Executives from global satellite firms said GEOs (Geostationary Equatorial Orbit), MEOs (Medium Earth Orbit) and LEOs (Low Earth orbits) — will be a combination of mesh integrated technology networks and such networks are designed to serve together with Wi-Fi technology and terrestrial technology. Broadband connectivity will be a totally different game altogether as we towards the end of this decade.

"The new Telecommunication Act also paves the way for the allocation of spectrum and the spectrum allocation for the space will further revolutionise the satcom industry," he said. • Pixxel to launch six home-built hyper-spectral satellites from June

  Ahmed said Pixxel aims to launch six 100-kilogramme satellites, named Fireflies, by June, and add another 12 next year to monitor in over 250 spectral bands at five-metre spatial resolution -- the highest in commercial hyper-spectral satellites.
